Nowadays , a lot of funny Meta Beat decks are popping out in locals in both Japan and SG.

There's a Dino Beat which made it to Top 4 in this 96 people tournament.

From the looks of it, it looks like a mixture of Meta Beat + Falcon Control.

Pretty neat concept.

Also it seems that there were a total of 11 Meta Beat decks in that same tournament.

Makes me feel like revamping my Volcanic Beat.

Although there are still consistancy issues with drawing a hand full of Bullets and Scattershots.

Yeah, scrubbed at locals today with Gadgets. The power of Fireownerzomgbbqofdoom is too strong...make me scrub.

Filmed with Neuxcharge for my Elec Beat, but he keep on wanting to film with InfernoTakoyaki....

Went to eat dinner at Mac with friends and came home.

The Elecs really got potential.

I won 2-1 against Angels while losing 1-2 to Hero Beat.

But more modification is needed.

Episode 101 + Duelist Revolution Love!

Episode 101 was nice..even though i had to watch it from my phone on a bus to work...

Breo gets pwned by Junk Destroyer...an scene which i can happily accept!

Jean(John?) looks....insane?

Overall , this is a good episode with some decent amount of dueling.

Now...about the Surging Knight..

Its really accessable in Junk and Debris, i just noticed.

Iron Chain Dragon + Junk Synchron.

And its good in DD Eatos.

Remove the Stardust Dragon and Neos Alius/Evolector to empty your Graveyard!

Yup...this is going to be a totally broken set.

I love broken sets....Actually gives me the urge to buy a box even though i have no money!

First, there were Anti-Meta Gadgets...

Then there was Machina Gadgets....

Now...

I'm trying out a new build of Gadgets.

People might recall that Gadgets were used as Synchro food when the hyped 3x Krebons/Emergency Teleport was everywhere. People started testing the Teleport engine in what was periodically known as Tele-Gadgets.

Unfortunately, it didn't really work out...

Soo...I'm giving the Synchro thing another try.

Of Monarchs and Gadgets

While people will certainly have an impression that Blackwings and Gladiator Beasts would take the center stage for this new format, other underdogs are generally neglected.

I'm talking about Monarchs and Gadgets.

Watching the new Monarchs play has certainly made me change my views of them.

They are able to fight on par with Blackwings, and the fact that nobody will expect them gives them an element of surprise.

Like how Samuel won the Starlight Road Tournament yesterday with a Chaos Monarch varient.

Although i don't know his decklist, here's my take on it.

As for Gadgets, i've seen many people starting to play it. Its matchup with Gladiator Beast is largely to its favor , while they can take on Blackwings with certain ease.

The Gadgets has been split into two forms :

Machina Gadget and Anti-Meta/Oppression Gadgets

While Anti-Meta Gadgets are proven to be quite better than its counterpart, the large use of promos such as Thunder King Rai-Oh and Doomcalibur Knight has prevented it from performing up to standard in Asia/World Qualifiers since promos are banned.

So, the other option would be Machina Gadgets. The advantage provided by the Gadgets would be able to fuel the summoning of Machina Fortress, while the trap protection provided and the removal which spells provide would make this deck quite a force to be reckoned with.

My take on Machina Gadgets would be ....

Went to pay my school fees, return library books and went to locals.

Initially wanted to use GB. But i was thrashed by Gadgets. So i converted to the dark side and played Gadgets.

So i was auto in Top 8. There were 8 eight pointers. I didn't have time as i needed to rush off back home before my parents roared at me. Passed my deck to Jin Hao and he played on for me.

He got 3rd/4th, and helped me take a Burial from the D.D.

Ranking : 3rd/4th.

Not bad eh. First time play Gadgets can already get so good results. Just goes to show how much 3 Smashing Ground and 3 Fissures has powered up this deck. Fulfilled my quota...But i feel like trying to get another prize at ANOTHER tourney....Hm....Maybe next week bah, cause i can't go down to JE or tmr for the other Starlight Road Tourney.

So, Andore kills himself with another burn card, while stripping Yusei of half of his LP.

Why am i not surprised?

Like Neux said , he seems to have a fetish to finish off ppl with burn effects.

And Breo...Nothing to say.

So many chances to win Yusei.

But NOOOO.....He has to win Yusei by decking him out.

And i still can't believe John is the leader of Team Unicorn. Its like......Neux being the leader of SNSD, and that is fucked up.

If i didn't misplay, Neux and i would have secured our seats in Top 4.....

Feel very down right now, and tearing up all the Magic Cylinders i can find.

No, it wasn't because of it which i lost, but it was partly because of it.

My day of playtesting yesterday!

Went down to JE to playtest with some new decks.

Brought Rescue GB, Beatdown and BixieRoids.

Played mostly with Neuxcharge.

BixieRoids won Chaos Control 2-0, then losing to J&D Machiner's 0-4

Chimeratech Fortress Dragon is gay. Forces me to not extend too much.

Proceeded to see Aaron and Wei Xiang play Christiasworn.

I playtested with Aaron using GB. Won it 3-1. Herald of Orange Light is really annoying. I think the only reason i won is because he didn't summon Christia too fast + bad hand.

Bought some sidedeck cards and sold some stuff.

Then went back home...

I'm staying home today to practice with a new deck. Slowly adapting to its playstyle, since its not my type to run a aggressive deck (besides BF).

Looking forward to tomorrow's Tag Team Tournament where i will be teaming up with the Cowman himself! Neuxcharge!

The worlds will collide as the NeuxCow and Sazabi work together to clain the white piece of cardboard known as BLACK FEATHER DARGON HOLO!!!!

5D's Episode 99

Major Plot Twist ftw!

Stardust Dragon and Black Rose Dragon on the field AT THE SAME TIME.

Goes to show what a great couple Yusei and Aki would make.

Also, Neuxcharge's fears came through, as Andore tried to win again with the burn effect of Speed World 2!!!! But Aki used Wicked Reborn to pass Stardust Dragon to Yusei.

Now Yusei has to solo the entire Team Unicorn.

In my opinion, Yusei will still lose, and they will have to win all the other teams to reach the 2nd place in order to qualify to the next round or something.

Their format....very familiar. Does "KOF Tournament @ whateverplace" ring a bell?

Infernity without Trishula

I think the only time when the title would take place would definitely be :

1) You cannot afford 3 Trishula
2) You're playing in the World Qualifiers/Asia Qualifiers

However, they are still damm strong WITHOUT Trishula.

Just change their field from 3 Trishula + 1/2 random Synchros



Into...


3-5 Random Synchros.....


So, we will definitely see them during the World Qualifiers.

A New Beginning! (Of a new format!)

It hasn't even been 24 hours since the start of the new format, and i'm already foreseeing people getting killed here and there by evil STD decks.


(STD = Self Touching Decks/Spamming Trishula Decks/whatever)

There are two of them.

Infernity and Frogs.

Both can spam up to 3-5 Trishula's in one turn provided you have a decent hand.

Both are very gay. And last but not least, both doesn't even give you a fighting chance, unless they have a bad hand.


Goes to show how this format is roughly going to be.


If you meet some decks like BF/GB/Gadgets/etc : Fight it out!!


If you meet STD decks like Frogs and Infernity :



Pray , Pray , and pray again that they will get bad hand or u draw Herald of Orange Light or D.D. Crow if you're not starting first.


Oh. And there are those who are keen on reviving Lightlords. Some are trying out the ChristiaSworn builds, while others....i have no idea what they are trying.

One advice i can give is to try out FlamvellSworn. Kinda tested it. Proven to be quite explosive.

As for me, well i'll be loyally stick to my current main deck since they have done me proud and the latest mods to it is quite good.

Besides that, i'll be testing several fun decks on the sidelines.
