I FAILED MY CHEMISTRY PRELIM PAPER!!!


WTH......I'm so depressed over this. Over the course of my secondary school life , i have NEVER failed Chemistry and you could say that it was my favorite subject next to English and Literature. To add insult to injury , even my Physics was better than the score i got for Chemistry. We're talking about PHYSICS!! , the one subject which i can never pass , but i got a C5 this time...

Haiz....I'm very disappointed in myself. Its 26 days to O Levels and this is the result for all the effort i have put in to study Chemistry. I'm going to stop blogging for awhile , on weekdays , cause i'm going to put 90% of the time i have right now to studying.

Yes. That means no more videos , no more tournaments, no more Life.

For 1 month , i will become a slave to my textbook , reading and doing everything i need to change my D7 in Chemistry to an A2. That applies for all my other subjects of course.

So , i doubt i will be going to Khatib this Saturday , or any Saturdays for that matter.

Haiz...What a great birthday present this is.

Results (Part 1) + Updates

Sheesh...After a long period of prelims , it was time to head back to school to get our results and go through them.

I got back :

Combined Humanities = B4
Literature = A2
Chinese = A2

The rest are not completely returned , so i won't mention them.

Not bad if i were to say so myself. Perfectly logical explanation for the B is because a lot of people failed the SS section of the subject, so B4 isn't really as bad as people would think.

Bad news : I failed to get A1 for my EMaths paper 1...sobz..

Anyways , back to YGO. I'm still deciding whether should i go Khatib or Jurong East this Saturday. If i go Khatib , it would be easier to head to Bishan after that for my birthday party at my aunt's house. But i sort of feel bad for missing out on Bryan's tournament.

I'll have to think about it.

Will be testing out my Cat Synchro (again...)

Seriously , i have no idea why i'm so obsessed with the cat. Is it because i coulden't play it the last format? Or could it be because i have no other deck which i can afford at the moment and coincidentally i only have this deck so i can only use this?

After the tournament , i will post the video on the Cat Synchro deck.

Some of you may have seen this as Banana from the SG forums has played it before. However , i believe that there is a difference between both builds. This is essentially GB+AKB+Plants. I tried BF , but i would want to side in Shadow Mirrors often in my duels and i don't want my deck to be affected too much. I also sided some Chariots in case i want some negation , especially on decks like Zombie Synchro and/or Gladiator Beast , and not to mention Lightsworn.

Its currently under testing. So , feel free to give comments. The extra deck is pretty much normal for a GB deck. The sidedeck is mostly on countering other decks.

Exam Status + New Deck!!

My exams are almost finished, it's gonna end next Monday.

It's been really stressful days, studying everywhere , from the toliet to the seats on the bus. Regardless , it's gonna end soon , and the BIG storm will come. But before that , i will take a well deserved 2-3 days break.

Back onto the topic. After the powerful performance by the Twilight Beat deck ( Akira Control ) , which has won many tournaments this month, i thought it was time for me to test out making my own decks. So , i used cards which i had and experimented. Of course , there will failures.

Experiment 1 : Lightlord Synchro

Basically Lightlord without Judgement Dragon , with teched Psychics to allow reuse of Telekinetic Power Well. Wasn't really consistant , and i drew alot of Krebons. So , at the moment ...FAIL

Experiment 2 : Random

Wasn't really nice with the limiting of Mind Control, and it was really random. SHELFED

Even without Dark Dive, this deck is still a force to reckon with. It may not be the same decklist , but Fishes got a good placing at the locals at Khatib a few days ago.

With AOJ Decisive Arms , Gungnir , the other generic Synchros still available, this deck is still good. I don't use Allures or other draw engines cause i want this to be as cheap as possible. Budget building!

Prelims has just started, and i could say that it went on a good start. E Maths was easy , while the English papers were ok for me.

Tournament Report (12th September)

Today , i went to the tournament at Jurong East. Went studying before headed to there. There were only 8 players today , but there were still 2 good prizes up today. Also , with Extra Pack 2 coming in , everyone was spamming the packs there for the cards.

Went to the tournament at Jurong East today , hosted by Weemin (Fireowner/fireloser). Met alot of people there and surprisingly , there are alot of people whom joined today's tournament , much more than we expected.

Made some trades before the thing started, and chatted with some people whom i haven't seen for awhile like Viral , Axehead and Fireowner. Soon , the thing started.

Dissecting the Undead Chicken

Its 9.38am in the morning, and i'm making an early post before i go studying.

As you all know, Vayu Turbo and Zombie Synchro are pretty much dominating the format right now *not forgetting the threat of Lightsworn when EXP2 comes out*. There are also Zombie BF decks lurking around , which is the combination of Vayu and Zombie Synchro.

And , no , i'm not a supporter of them.

That is why this post is to help other players against the terror of the undead.

Key Cards/Things :

1) Graveyard

2) Tragoedia

3) Brionac , Dragon of the Ice Boundary

4) Plaguespreader Zombie

5) Dark Grepher


These are what i feel is the core engine of the deck. You remove those , and the opponent can scoop. Why do i say so?

1) Everything in this damm deck revolves around the graveyard. Side in some Dimensional Fissure or Royal Imperial Wall , and it would cripple this deck

2) Tragoedia is ..... gay in this deck. Dump Mezuki and take your monster. I would personally side 3 Fissures to control the no. of Tragoedia's on the field, and even other monsters.

3) Brionac..Zombie Synchro varieties revolve around this card too. Bottomless it or heck , Solemn it to halt the OTK

4) Plaguespreader , ever so broken in Zombie Synchro. Prohibition says hi

5)Yes , if you're playing against them , Dark Grepher is a threat too, as it can potentially set up the domination of the game. Dump Sirocco , Vayu , Plaguespreader , Necro Gardna. Best to get rid of it soon or when your opponent summons/SP summons it.

So.... These are my opinions on the current top deck, and i hope that if you guys have any suggestions , feel free to comment.

Voila! My preparations for Prelims would be almost complete by them. MUHAHAH

I would have extra time to revise again for the subjects not tested so soon. Good thing Chemistry is the last paper, so i have ample time.

2) PHYSICS!!!!!! *Don't care how , must PASS*

Abit scare leh...All my Sciences i revise until half already , but i still like forget everytime...super scare for my Sciences....

I will be setting my home page to my blog. So whenever i try to use com , i see this piece of crap.
At least it would tell me to study...........

Match 1 : VS Yong Siang ( Geartown)

Round 1 : Repeatly beated me down with Gadget Dragon. Ended in a top deck war with me having a Volcanic Rocket , Arcanite and stuff. He drew his whole deck before scooping.

Round 2 : Gadget Dragon is bad.

Round 3 : Close match , but i won. Forgot how though.

Round 2 : Miscalculated the no. of DARKs and couldn't summon DAD. Lost shortly

OFF TO THE GUNDAM FIESTA TMR!!!!

Before..........my nightmare of mugging for Prelims begin.

Best to have as much fun as i can tmr, then its mugging for the whole week.

Gundam! Launching!

Yes. THIS IS THE BEST HOLIDAY EVER!!!!!!

The Gundam Fiesta 2009 @ Compass Point is finally here!

I have been waiting for this event the entire year. I missed out last year's event , so i would die than to not attend this event. I'm gonna head down either myself or with my friends, to grab a few model kits and have fun!

Things to buy/get there :

- GUNPLAS!!!!!
- PHOTOS!!!!
- Photos with Gundam Image Girls!!! (100% cannot miss this)

But , sadly , i don't have like a few hundred dollers to spend for this like others. My budget is limited to $60 , including transportation and lunch/dinner. So , expect me to only get one or two HG 1/144 kits or if i'm lucky.......a MG 1/100 kit.

Also looking forward to the lucky draw. The prizes are AWESOME. Although i only have 1 try at it, its always good to hope , right?

Plus, this year's Gundam Image Girls are soooooooooooooo beautiful and kawaii~ Cannot afford to miss this. I'll go down even if i have H1N1 + SARS

Extra Deck :

Generic Synchros


Lock down your opponent with the Counter Traps and the Heralds. The discarded Heralds can be revived by Junk Synchron and Debris Dragon for Synchro Summons.

Synthetic Seraphim generates tokens which can be used as defence and open the doorway to other Levels of Synchro Summoning besides Lv 5 and Lv 6

Due to the disadvantage which the Heralds can create , Bountiful Artemis is used to recover from the loses by drawing more as you counter your opponent with your Counter Traps. Pot of Avarice also helps in achieving recovery of advantage, plus it helps you as you can reuse the Heralds.

Due to the limiting of Solemn , there is a lack of Counter Traps able to be used. Thus , Harvest is added to allow reuse of Counter Traps, allowing control of the game easily.

Finally , Vandalygon helps by putting a 2.8k beatstick instantly when you play your Counter Traps. Adding its effects , it also generates a certain amount of pressure and control of the field.
